Using systemimager to create VMs quickly and easily

This documentation does not exist, because it's hard enough getting SystemImager to recognise that 3.2 is a valid version series for a Linux kernel. When it came to booting from the installer CD, and all that happens is

(it's entirely expected that the hard disk is empty, and therefore of course not bootable, but the CD should then take over, boot into SystemImager, and install something useful onto the hard disk)

I gave up.

This is not a useful tool. Nice idea, but it simply doesn't work.
