====== The Silent Patient, by Alex Michaelides ====== ISBN: 9781409181637\\ Amazon ID: [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07G17DR4X|B07G17DR4X]] This is an interesting story, except for the enormous question "why would someone in __this__ (good, safe) position choose to put themselves in __that__ (dangerous, unwise) position?" It makes no sense whatsoever. There isn't even anything to be gained by it. The person isn't trying to achieve anything other than personal intrigue into past events, and this is very strongly to their own detriment. They're not portrayed as being unintelligent or unaware of consequences, so it turns into a gaping flaw in the narrative, which is a pity, given the quality of the rest of the writing. ---- [[.:|Go up]]\\ Return to [[:|main index]].
